SoundironがKontakt Player用の「Snack 2.0」をリリースしました。

Soundiron founder Mike Peaslee's cat Snack is a rather vocal and demanding studio companion. Over the years, Chris and Gregg often dared Mike to turn her into a library, so we finally flipped on our trusty field recorders to capture a few raw cat vocalizations just for fun: Sounds like meows, hisses, eating, purring, and more. We then started exploring the audio with a few digital manipulation tricks to see where that would take us. After a bit of creative sound design, a unique batch of catbiences and an electro drum kit was born. We hope you enjoy this pet project of sonic goodness. Fun fact: Snack will pretty much do anything for fish, including literally jumping through hoops, despite being rather well-fed.

Snack 2.0 is a powerhouse of animal sounds: Cats, Dogs, Birds, Lion, Tiger, and even a cricket. Have you ever wanted to make a cat choir? Well now you can! How bout dogs eating wet food in close stereo? Say no more. we’ve got you covered. Did we mention this is free? Disclaimer: no animals were hurt in the making of this library.

The APU Loudness Compressor is a compressor/expander designed to support modern loudness types (LUFS, True Peak). The result is very transparent compression, making it particularly well suited for mastering and post-production workflows. The compressor is also capable of operating in a more traditional way, using RMS and Peak units of measurement, so you can have your cake and eat it too.

By default, the compressor operates using a “source range” and “target range” in place of threshold + ratio controls. You can also enable the traditional threshold + ratio controls if you prefer. A drop-down menu located at the top-right of the compressor’s dynamics section allows switching between these modes of operation and others, such as expander, limiter, etc.

With “learn” mode enabled, the compressor will automatically adjust the source or target range to match the source material. This can be a great way to get started with the compressor and can be used as a starting point for further fine-tuning.

で、無事に（？）日本語で表示されるようになりました。
